2022-09-13cmd/internal/objabi: declare HeadType String on a non-pointer receiverJoel Sing
objabi.HeadType is typically used as a non-pointer type, however the String function is declared on a pointer receiver. This means that in most cases its integer value is printed, rather than the value from the String function. 2020-09-23all: add GOOS=iosCherry Zhang
Introduce GOOS=ios for iOS systems. GOOS=ios matches "darwin" build tag, like GOOS=android matches "linux" and GOOS=illumos matches "solaris". Only ios/arm64 is supported (ios/amd64 is not). GOOS=ios and GOOS=darwin remain essentially the same at this point. They will diverge at later time, to differentiate macOS and iOS. Uses of GOOS=="darwin" are changed to (GOOS=="darwin" || GOOS=="ios"), except if it clearly means macOS (e.g. GOOS=="darwin" && GOARCH=="amd64"), it remains GOOS=="darwin". Updates #38485. 2019-10-09all: remove the nacl port (part 2, amd64p32 + toolchain)Brad Fitzpatrick
This is part two if the nacl removal. Part 1 was CL 199499. This CL removes amd64p32 support, which might be useful in the future if we implement the x32 ABI. It also removes the nacl bits in the toolchain, and some remaining nacl bits. 2019-04-30all: add new GOOS=illumos, split out of GOOS=solarisJoshua M. Clulow
Like GOOS=android which implies the "linux" build tag, GOOS=illumos implies the "solaris" build tag. This lets the existing ecosystem of packages still work on illumos, but still permits packages to start differentiating between solaris and illumos. 2018-10-03cmd/dist: add AIX operating system.Clément Chigot
This commit adds AIX operating system to cmd/dist package for ppc64 architecture. The stack guard is increased because of syscalls made inside the runtime which need a larger stack. Disable cmd/vet/all tests until aix/ppc64 is fully available. 2017-04-19cmd/internal/objabi: extract shared functionality from objMatthew Dempsky
Now only cmd/asm and cmd/compile depend on cmd/internal/obj. Changing the assembler backends no longer requires reinstalling cmd/link or cmd/addr2line. There's also now one canonical definition of the object file format in cmd/internal/objabi/doc.go, with a warning to update all three implementations. objabi is still something of a grab bag of unrelated code (e.g., flag and environment variable handling probably belong in a separate "tool" package), but this is still progress. Fixes #15165. Fixes #20026.
