2021-08-13all: gofmt more (but vendor, testdata, and top-level test directories)Dmitri Shuralyov
CL 294430 made packages in std and cmd modules use Go 1.17 gofmt format, adding //go:build lines. This change applies the same formatting to some more packages that 'go fmt' missed (e.g., syscall/js, runtime/msan), and everything else that is easy and safe to modify in bulk. Consider the top-level test directory, testdata, and vendor directories out of scope, since there are many files that don't follow strict gofmt formatting, often for intentional and legitimate reasons (testing gofmt itself, invalid Go programs that shouldn't crash the compiler, etc.). That makes it easy and safe to gofmt -w the .go files that are found with gofmt -l with aforementioned directories filtered out: $ gofmt -l . 2>/dev/null | \ grep -v '^test/' | \ grep -v '/testdata/' | \ grep -v '/vendor/' | wc -l 51 None of the 51 files are generated. After this change, the same command prints 0. For #41184. 2020-10-06runtime: use sigaltstack on macOS/ARM64Cherry Zhang
Currently we don't use sigaltstack on darwin/arm64, as is not supported on iOS. However, it is supported on macOS. Use it. (iOS remains unchanged.) 2020-09-23all: add GOOS=iosCherry Zhang
Introduce GOOS=ios for iOS systems. GOOS=ios matches "darwin" build tag, like GOOS=android matches "linux" and GOOS=illumos matches "solaris". Only ios/arm64 is supported (ios/amd64 is not). GOOS=ios and GOOS=darwin remain essentially the same at this point. They will diverge at later time, to differentiate macOS and iOS. Uses of GOOS=="darwin" are changed to (GOOS=="darwin" || GOOS=="ios"), except if it clearly means macOS (e.g. GOOS=="darwin" && GOARCH=="amd64"), it remains GOOS=="darwin". Updates #38485. 2019-04-30all: add new GOOS=illumos, split out of GOOS=solarisJoshua M. Clulow
Like GOOS=android which implies the "linux" build tag, GOOS=illumos implies the "solaris" build tag. This lets the existing ecosystem of packages still work on illumos, but still permits packages to start differentiating between solaris and illumos. 2017-01-20misc/cgo/test: fix test when using GCC 7Ian Lance Taylor
With GCC 7 (not yet released), cgo fails with errors like ./sigaltstack.go:65:8: call of non-function C.restoreSignalStack I do not know precisely why. Explicitly declaring that there are no arguments to the static function is a simple fix for the debug info. 2015-12-24runtime: adjust gsignal stack to current signal stackIan Lance Taylor
If non-Go code calls sigaltstack before a signal is received, use sigaltstack to determine the current signal stack and set the gsignal stack to use it. This makes the Go runtime more robust in the face of non-Go code. We still can't handle a disabled signal stack or a signal triggered with SA_ONSTACK clear, but we now give clear errors for those cases. Fixes #7227. Update #9896.
